Pregnancy Mode: Accurate Biological Age Tracking During Pregnancy
My Bio Age now includes specialized Pregnancy Mode that adjusts metric weighting to account for normal physiological changes during pregnancy—so your biological age score stays meaningful.
Pregnancy brings significant physiological changes—elevated heart rate, reduced HRV, sleep disruption, and more. Without adjustment, these normal changes would incorrectly impact your biological age score. My Bio Age now includes specialized Pregnancy Mode that intelligently adjusts how metrics contribute to your Index.
How Pregnancy Mode works
When enabled in Settings → Medical Conditions, the app adjusts the emphasis of each metric based on whether it's meaningfully affected by pregnancy:
Reduced Emphasis (normal pregnancy changes won't hurt your score)
- Resting Heart Rate — elevated RHR is expected during pregnancy
- Heart Rate Variability — reduced variability is normal
- VO₂max — relative capacity decreases with body changes
- Sleep Duration — disruption is common
- Respiratory Rate — slight increases expected
- Wrist Temperature — elevated temps normal
- Blood Pressure — highly variable during pregnancy
Emphasized Metrics (still meaningful during pregnancy)
- Recovery Capacity — recovery patterns remain informative
- Active Energy — activity is still valuable
- Walking Heart Rate — relative measure stays valid
- Sleep Regularity — consistency still matters
- Oxygen Saturation — stable metric
Visual indicators
When Pregnancy Mode is active, you'll see a "Pregnancy-Adjusted" badge on your MyBioAge Index. Settings shows which metrics are adjusted, and the mode can be combined with pacemaker mode if needed.
Enabling Pregnancy Mode
Navigate to Settings → Medical Conditions and toggle Pregnancy Mode. The app will immediately recalculate your Index using the adjusted weighting. Disable it anytime after your pregnancy to return to standard scoring.
