Oura Ring Alternatives: Four Options and Who Each One Suits
Four Oura Ring alternatives compared with sources, including another ring with no subscription and Apple Watch apps, plus when Oura remains the better choice.
By My Bio Age
People usually look for an Oura alternative because they do not want a membership on top of the ring, or because they already wear an Apple Watch and wonder whether they need a second device. My Bio Age is one of the options below and wrote this page, so weigh it accordingly.
When to stay with Oura
Stay if a ring is the only device you will reliably wear overnight, or you value Oura’s sleep and readiness app and Cardiovascular Age. A tracker you actually wear beats one with a longer feature list. Our My Bio Age vs Oura Ring page goes through the trade-offs in detail.
The options
| Product | Age number | What you need | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oura Ring | Cardiovascular Age, which Oura calls a slow-moving metric. 1 | An Oura Ring and an active membership. The first baseline needs at least 14 nights of data from the past 30 days. 1 | In the US, Ring 4 starts at $349 and Ring 5 at $399, plus membership at $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year. The first month is free for new members. 2, 3 |
| My Bio Age | MyBioAge Index™, a weekly wellness estimate with a 95% likely range and a confidence label. Pace of Aging shows the years of change in the Index over 12 and 24 weeks. 4 | An iPhone on iOS 26 or later. Apple Watch supplies most inputs but is optional. 5, 6 | Free, with no subscription, in-app purchases or account. 5 |
| Ultrahuman Ring | No age number is named on the pages we checked. It reports on longevity alongside sleep, fitness and recovery. 7 | An Ultrahuman Ring and its app. It can sync data with Apple Health. 7 | Ring PRO lists at $479 in the US as a one-time purchase, with no recurring fee to access your data. 8 |
| WHOOP | WHOOP Age, from about six months of data, and Pace of Aging, from the last 30 days, shown on a scale from -1.0x to 3.0x. Both update weekly. 9 | A WHOOP sensor on a Peak or Life membership. Healthspan unlocks after 21 recoveries in your first 31 days and fully calibrates after 90 days. 10 | In the US, Peak is $239 a year and Life is $359 a year, each with a device included. One, at $199 a year, does not include Healthspan. 11, 12 |
| Garmin CIRQA | Garmin's CIRQA announcement does not list Fitness Age. 13 | A CIRQA band and a compatible iPhone or Android phone. 13 | $199.99 suggested US price, with no subscription required. 13 |

1. Apple Watch with My Bio Age
Pick it if you already wear an Apple Watch, including overnight, and want a free weekly age estimate and daily scores from that data. Skip it if you do not want to wear a watch to bed, because My Bio Age has no sensors and depends on what is recorded. It is also iPhone only.
2. Ultrahuman Ring
Pick it if you want a ring and no recurring fee. Ultrahuman says its ring needs no subscription and can sync with Apple Health. Skip it if you want a named age number, as we did not find one on the pages we checked. Check availability in your country too.
3. WHOOP
Pick it if you are happy to wear a band and want coaching and an age number with a long battery life. Skip it if a membership is what you are trying to avoid. WHOOP’s age metrics need at least the Peak tier. See My Bio Age vs WHOOP.
4. Garmin CIRQA
Pick it if you want a small screen-free band with no subscription. Skip it if you specifically want a ring or an age number, because Garmin’s announcement does not list Fitness Age for this band.
Before you switch
Sleep and readiness scores do not transfer, and a new device builds its own baseline. Expect a change in numbers that says nothing about your health. Oura lets you export your data as CSV from the Membership Hub, so save what you want to keep. If you plan to read Oura’s data in another app, note that HRV is not on Oura’s list of Apple Health exports.
