Health Apps That Don’t Sell Your Data: My Bio Age’s Local Approach

My Bio Age is designed around local processing. The consumer app calculates your MyBioAge Index™, daily wellness scores and Weekly Digest on your iPhone. It does not upload those health records to My Bio Age servers or sell them to advertisers.
On-device AI
The AI Coach prepares and retrieves local health facts, then generates answers on the phone. Model files download when you request them, which requires a network connection. Downloading software is separate from uploading health records for inference.
Without a downloaded language model, the app can still provide template-based answers. You can manage downloaded models in Settings. Local processing is a design choice, not a guarantee that an AI explanation is correct.
Apple Health remains under your control
Review the categories My Bio Age can access in Apple Health. Revoking read access stops future reads from that category; it is not the same as deleting information already cached by an app. Use the app’s data controls when you want to manage its local records.
Apple’s own Health storage, device backups and iCloud settings are separate from My Bio Age’s local processing. My Bio Age does not offer an account-based cloud service that synchronises your scores across all your devices.
What happens when you share?
If you choose to share an image or summary, the selected content goes to the destination you choose through the system’s sharing options. Check it before sending. Support email is also a separate action: we receive the information you include in your message, not automatic access to your health database.
Clinical partnerships are separate
The clinical partnership programme does not give partners access to the consumer app’s health records. Partnership enquiries contain the contact details and message the sender chooses to email. Patient information and medical records should not be included in those enquiries.
App privacy and website privacy
The marketing website and the consumer app serve different purposes. Website visits and correspondence should be read in the context of the site’s privacy disclosures, rather than assuming every statement about local app processing also describes browsing a website.
